Oculus Rift creating a drift in Advertising
In September 2015, Facebook debuted their Oculus Rift HD virtual reality-style video creation tool, which calls on brands to be more creative with their online adverts. This video creation tool allows publishers and brands to post 360 degree organic clips to their pages giving the viewers an immersive experience.
Desktop viewers can view the adverts but dragging their cursor over the clip and change the angle whilst mobile users can swipe across their screens to change their point of view.
Ad Week reports that the Virtual Reality headset is expected to become available in early 2016.
