5. Cannabis-infused drinks
CBD infused beer is quite popular overseas, this is because, besides the effects of cannabinoids, it also offers different aromas and tastes.
Keith Villa, founder of Blue Moon, is working on cannabis-infused non-alcoholic beers in Colorado, while other breweries have CBD beer available at various locations in both Oregon and Washington.
Craft breweries in South Africa are already offering products like this, for example, Durban Poison Cannabis Lager is already available for sale. “South Africans have an appetite for craft beers and this lager is developed specifically for that easy-drinking market,” says Graeme Bird, co-founder of Poison City brewing.
If you want to compete in this market you’ll need to start brewing quickly, as more options start coming out of the woodwork.
