Branson entrepreneur Wandile Solombela is transforming lives in Soweto by providing employment and skills to local women.
Solombela is a fashion student-turned-entrepreneur who runs a business that sells dolls that are based on a series of original children’s drawings. The sketches are produced by children at the African Children’s Feeding Scheme in Soweto. The dolls are made by women from the community who he has taught to sew.
He is supported by the Branson Centre of Entrepreneurship in Johannesburg, which gives budding young entrepreneurs the skills, opportunities and inspiration they need to launch and grow their businesses.
