Pioneers of cashless transactions at events in South Africa –Howler– an event technology platform that offers end-to-end ticket handling is a finalist in the 2018 FNB Business Innovation Awards.
The awards recognise and celebrate the efforts of high-impact entrepreneurs who have embraced many challenges to create world-class, industry disrupting and scalable companies that continue to forge unique ways of doing business.

Howler consolidates event planning, management and financial control and has been the driving force behind cashless events in the country. The cashless way to pay is a growing phenomenon and an innovation breaking barriers in the events industry around the world. The cashless option – Howler Loaded uses NFC cards or wristbands to transact during an event and is considered an essential means to safeguard organisers, vendors and party goers’ cash during a festival. In the last year alone, Howler’s handled over 200 cashless events and reached more than one million customers.
