Ernst & Young (EY) has announced the finalists in the southern African chapter of the World Entrepreneur Awards for 2013.
The awards programme is marking its 16th year anniversary of recognising entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence in areas of:
- Entrepreneurial spirit
- Financial performance
- Strategic direction
- Community or global impact
- Innovation
- Personal integrity.
The finalists will be competing in the following categories:
- Master – honours individuals whose achievements have made them world-class entrepreneurs
- Exceptional – recognises individuals who have shown exceptional tenacity and determination in building a successful and established enterprise
- Emerging – credits those individuals building young businesses with high potential.

SA’s entrepreneurial wealth

The World Entrepreneur Awards culminate in an annual gala banquet in Monte Carlo in June each year, where winning entrepreneurs in the Master category from over 50 countries around the world compete for one of the most coveted global business awards.
This year’s winners will be announced on 6 November 2013.
