It’s Global Entrepreneurship Week from 18 to 24 November, a global initiative to promote entrepreneurship by encouraging people to participate in entrepreneurial-related activities.
Events are held across six contents during the week, supported by entrepreneurial experts, policy-makers, education practitioners and politicians. Last year, 88 countries hosted Global Entrepreneurship Week and generated over 32 000 activities.
The aim is to inspire people to explore their potential as self-starters and innovators. Activities range from competitions and events to networking gatherings, all aimed at connecting participants to potential collaborators, mentors and even investors.
Each country that participates in Global Entrepreneurship Week designates a host organisation to lead the campaign, In South Africa, participants include Wits Business School, the University of the Witwatersrand, Junior Achievement South Africa and Endeavor.
