“With our HR Personality of the Year competition we hope to place a spotlight on the importance and business benefits of sound HR policies and management through appropriate software. We are looking for companies that have adopted and implemented ground-breaking HR management techniques that result in highly effective employee-employer relationships that benefit both parties,” says Softline Pastel Payroll managing director Grant Lloyd.
How to enter
To enter the competition companies need to clearly define what differentiates their HR management techniques and demonstrate how this provides a platform for more effective employee-employer relationships.
The HR Personality of the Year will be a special person who focuses on the overall well-being of employees – someone who goes the extra mile in encouraging and motivating employees and makes a difference for the company with creative and innovative HR management practices.

Up for grabs
The HR Personality of the Year will win four nights at the Diamonds Dream resort, Zanzibar, including flights, airport transfer, breakfasts and dinners for two. Entries close on 31 October 2011.
The value of sound strategy
Lloyd says sound HR strategy is an imperative today and can only be implemented and driven from a base provided by state-of-the-art Payroll and HR software that enables management to focus on the valuable outputs and information derived from the software as opposed to the inputs.
He adds that training, education, skills development, career-path planning and performance management are important aspects of business that are often just as critical to individual employees. By implementing HR software, employers underline their serious commitment to the employer-employee relationship.
