What is alternative energy?
Due to the unsustainable nature and pollution concerns associated with coal and oil energy, international businesses and scientists have been searching for alternative energy sources.
“The term is used to refer to forms of energy that will come to replace fossil fuels and coal as the predominant form of energy production in the coming decades,” explains Matt Williams, Curator of Universe Today’s Guide to Space.
Typically alternative energy is also considered renewable energy or green energy. Renewable energy is an alternative to fossil fuels and is sustainable going forward.
Why you should consider alternative energy sources?
“The benefit is mostly cost saving, as businesses all want to save on running costs,” explains Dr. Malcolm Gillespie, Research and Development Specialist, Hydrox Holdings. “By shifting to renewable energy you’re not at the mercy of load shedding, as you produce your own power. Load shedding costs businesses thousands of Rands per day.”
So what better solution could there be, than becoming completely independent and reliant on your own system that you can manage and optimise to your own needs?
