Nedbank has partnered with Entrepreneur Magazine, BrandsEye and Sorbet to offer free franchising networking seminars nationwide, with the Pretoria event taking place on 26 May 2016. This yearly event sees delegates receiving valuable insights and knowledge from some of South Africa’s leading minds in entrepreneurship.
This includes experts, such as Nadine Todd (Managing Editor at Entrepreneur Magazine), Melanie Malherbe (Head of Client Engagement at BrandsEye), Ian Fuhr (founder and CEO of the Sorbet Group) and Henry van Rooyen (Senior Sales Manager at Nedbank Business Banking).
These specialists will offer insight into the influence of online and social media on your franchise business as well as how to stay ‘human’ in the workplace.
‘As a bank that believes in the role of small business in South Africa, we know that franchising plays an important role in the creation of a robust small-business sector in the country and thereby providing the potential to boost employment and community development. It is essential that we continue to empower the franchising industry through training and development that are not only practical, but also meaningful to empower them to grow their businesses into the future,’ says Mark Rose, Head of New Business Development at Nedbank Business Banking.
‘We believe the franchising networking seminars are fantastic opportunities for franchisees to reflect on their business, acquire new skills and network with like-minded people. This is another way we continue to make the things that really matter to franchisees and franchisors happen,’ concludes Rose.
Nedbank continues to contribute positively to the development of the sector for small and medium enterprises through various interventions. The bank seeks to encourage South Africans to think about supporting small businesses when making purchases.
