Fortunately there are several associations focused on encouraging black entrepreneurs and the housing shortage is a well-documented concern in South Africa. The Gauteng Partnership Fund assists entrepreneurs wanting to build affordable housing. Qualifying criteria include:
- candidates have to be 100% BEE
- the business must be a registered legal entity
- candidates must have a valid tax clearance certificate
- shareholders and the company must have clear credit records
Another organisation that helps potential investors become property entrepreneurs is the TUHF Group of Companies.
