Angels Resource Centres, has created a web-based platform linked to their micro-business incubators, where organisations and Independent Power Producers are able to announce their upcoming procurement opportunities for SMME’s, as well as opportunities for youth, non-profit organisations, and school leavers.
This page is currently promoted to the growing database of compliant SMMEs, various stakeholders, business forums, as well as across social media platforms, to ensure that the most inclusive pool of potential candidates and suppliers is reached.
CEO of Angels Resource Centre, Lizelle Coombs said: “We saw the need for a platform during our many engagements with IPPs, government and private organisations and business forums. The biggest challenge it seems is finding compliant, local entrepreneurs in a quick and efficient way. On the other side of the coin, entrepreneurs, especially in remote areas, were struggling to find a platform to promote their businesses. Most platforms they can find are either complicated to use or requires a subscription fee. Our platform is not a new idea, but easy to use on any device and free of charge. We cannot access procurement information – clients must upload their procurement opportunities directly, to ensure transparency and equality for the SMMEs. We do however approve applying SMMEs to ensure compliance.”
Any corporate or public department in any region looking to provide opportunities, offer tenders, and request quotes is invited to register on the platform by visiting the “RFQ and RFP Listings” page on the website. Entrepreneurs who are compliant can register on the “Black Business Directory” and find business-related opportunities. Registration is free and the service is national. If the SMME is non-compliant, then our eZone staff can help you with your compliance requirements. The website can be found at: http://angelsezone.co.za/
