What better way to celebrate Africa Day on 25 May than by attending a conference on leadership?
Toastmasters Southern Africa is holding a conference focused on leadership that coincides with the Africa Day weekend in May.
The theme is Leadership, The African Dream. It will be a practical how-to conference with advice from guest speakers, Ed Tate and Mark Brown.
“Getting your message across is the difference between a focused team and confusion in the ranks,” says John-Peter Gernaat, the conference convener.
“We’re born with ability to speak but effective communication is a skill.”
The speakers
Ed Tate and Mark Brown are both public speaking champions. Tate is the principal of Ed Tate & Associates, a professional development firm that provides keynote and endnote presentations and workshops.
Tate also offers in-person and do-it-yourself tools and expertise on leadership, executive presentation skills, the challenges of change, management, and sales presentation skills.
Mark Brown, a member of the National Speakers Association, presents to and coaches in over 200 companies and youth audiences a year.
