A new complex in revitalised central Johannesburg brings together spaces for leisure, residential and work. Imagine not being confined to a cubicle. Imagine an organic flowing space, movement, a place where creativity abounds and greatness is created. This is the vision that Paul Keursten and Mark Seftel had in mind when they envisioned OPEN.
OPEN is a workplace solution for entrepreneurs and companies looking for an alternative to the norm when it comes to workspaces, and will operate as a shared working space that functions more as a membership club rather than an office. It is situated on the 4th floor of the The Main Change Building in the Maboneng Precinct in central Johannesburg. With a number of early adopters already signed up, the official launch is this month (August).
At the pulse of a revitalised Joburg – first movers, creative workspace, rise of right brained thinking – not all linear and left-brained, digital means flexi office and flexi times…
A flexible workspace leads to creative thinking
Keursten says, “I believe working is an integral part of living. We spend a huge part of our lives working. Why restrict living to the time outside of work? You want to feel passionate, inspired, relaxed, meaningful and connected. We think a place for this should not look and feel like a traditional office. That is why we created OPEN.”
“With OPEN, we want to create a space for individuals, small companies and corporates where ideas can be connected with reality. It will be a flexible and organic space that will provide a rich landscape for working, connecting, learning and creating,” adds Seftel.
