Lesson 5.
You can’t rest on your laurels; more growth = more work
In our day jobs we grow accustomed to the work load, the deadlines, managing and working with our clients.
In an Olympic environment, this is magnified 1 000% and you don’t have the luxury of taking your time over everything, which means procrastination is your downfall. I found that post games, going back into my normal role, things that had seemed to be major issues or obstacles were actually dealt with instantaneously as the clarity of my decision-making had been elevated beyond the realms of the norm.
The lesson: When you’re in growth-mode, decisions need to be clear, concise and immediate.
