The Top 1% Game Changer
In 2010, Britain’s cycling team applied a concept called ‘the aggregation of marginal benefits’ to their training approach, in the hope that they could get a British cyclist to win the Tour de France.
The idea is simply that if you improve everything by just one percent, those small gains add up to remarkable improvement. It’s an approach that we apply at Entelect, and it’s a key element of our success, from sales to marketing to software development.
Continuous improvement means that you get better and better. Because it’s incremental and happens all the time, there’s never a question of disruption to the business.
We are always just slightly more efficient today than we were yesterday. The approach is embraced by our employees who are encouraged and helped to continuously develop themselves too. That’s what made us win three awards in the Deloitte 2014 Best Company to Work for survey.
