Ghoor started her make-up and skincare business at 14 years old, while in grade 9 with a R6000 loan from her father. She soon dropped out of high school due to SwiitchBeauty’s marked success – and paid her father back every cent.
SwiitchBeauty celebrated its third birthday in 2018, the same year that Ghoor turned 18 and her peers matriculated. Her first quarter turnover is in the millions and her Pretoria-based business is sending out over 3000 orders monthly – a demonstration of the brand’s popularity.
“Build up a following even if you don’t have a product yet. Get as many people in your industry interested and when you do launch the product they will trust you enough to become customers.”
