Upon her return from the Young Africa League of Nations Programme in Chicago, USA in 2012, Sibande was inspired to launch Malawi’s first tech incubator a year later.
Not only is the entrepreneur a computer scientist and recognised technology advocate; the founder of mHub, an incubator for innovators and emerging entrepreneurs, was named one of Africa’s 30 most promising entrepreneurs under the age of 30 by Forbes in 2016. Sibande says she expects to absorb over 5000 young technology enthusiasts across Malawi by 2019, creating a ripple effect to fellow youths as they create opportunities for others through their enterprises.
