The 5-Minute Rule
I apply the ‘five-minute rule’ to tasks. It’s my own version of the popular ‘two-minute rule’. If it takes less than five minutes, I do it now.
Instead of putting things off until later, clearing these quick tasks means that my time is freed up to do the more important things. The focus is on taking action immediately and letting things flow from there. It means I can end my day without having 50 tasks on my list.
