Brainstorm and Own It
When we brainstorm, everyone is encouraged to contribute. If it’s operational, I like to go in with a strong agenda and ensure that the desired outcome is achieved. People take action based on their ownership.
People work best when they have ownership of their tasks, and when they are accountable for what they do. That’s when they perform at their peak.
If instead you give them a set of instructions to follow, you will end up micro-managing. Autonomy is key to getting the most out of your team.
